Sources and data verification

Selkoraha’s calculator figures are based on Finland’s official primary sources: the Tax Administration (Vero), Kela, the Finnish Immigration Service (Migri), the Finnish Centre for Pensions (ETK), the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) and legislation from Finlex.

Every calculator page has its own source list and the date the data was last checked. Below is a combined list of the official sources we use.

Official sources

How often is the data checked?

We review the calculator figures when a law or an amount published by an authority changes — typically at the turn of the year, when many values are updated. Yearly values are split into their own data modules, so changes are traceable.

The verification date shown on each calculator page tells you when that figure was last confirmed against its source.

What do I do if a figure looks out of date?

If you spot a figure that does not match an authority’s current information, let us know at info@palvemax.fi and we will fix it. For important matters, always confirm the current figure directly with the authority.

Selkoraha is an information source, not an authority: the calculators help you see the whole picture, but the official amount is always confirmed by the Tax Administration, Kela or Migri.
