Entrepreneur contributions and taxes 2026

The YEL contribution is 24.40 percent of the confirmed work income (tyotulo). A new entrepreneur gets a 22 percent discount for the first 48 months, giving an effective rate of about 19.03 percent. The YEL work income lower limit is 9,423.09 euros and the upper limit 214,000 euros a year.

Deductions and thresholds

The maximum household deduction (kotitalousvahennys) is 2,100 euros per person, the deduction rate is 40 percent and the deductible is 150 euros. It covers renovation, cleaning and care work bought from a company.
