Which Kela benefits can I estimate?

You can work out family benefits (child benefit, parental allowance, home-care allowance), unemployment security (yleistuki and earnings-related allowance), housing allowance, sickness allowance and the last-resort social assistance.

Note: from 1 May 2026 yleistuki replaced the basic unemployment allowance and labour market subsidy. The calculators use the current, valid values.

What changed in 2026?

Yleistuki replaced the basic unemployment allowance and labour market subsidy on 1 May 2026. Yleistuki is 37.21 euros a day, about 800 euros a month for five days a week, and it is means-tested. The old terms still appear in many guides, but the calculators use the new system.

Early childhood education fees and income thresholds were index-adjusted from 1 August 2026. The maximum fee is 335 euros a month for the youngest child, the fee rate is 10.7 percent, and a monthly fee below 32 euros is not collected at all.

Benefit base amounts 2026

The minimum parental and sickness allowance is 31.99 euros per working day. If you have income, the allowance is calculated from annual earnings, and the calculators show an estimate both per day and per month. Child benefit is paid for children under 17 and increases with the number of children.

The home care allowance is 377.68 euros a month for the first child under 3, with a possible income-based supplement. Housing allowance and social assistance are determined by housing costs, family size and income.
