What pension matters can I calculate?
You can check the lowest old-age retirement age and the upper insurance age by your year of birth, estimate your future pension from your current salary (accrual 1.5%/year, life-expectancy coefficient 0.94643) and work out how much pension goes unaccrued during unpaid periods.
Continuing to work grows the pension via the deferral increment (0.4%/month) and new accrual.
How does pension accrue?
Earnings-related pension accrues at 1.5 percent a year of gross salary for all age groups. Accrual starts at age 17 and continues to the upper age limit of insurance obligation. For an entrepreneur, pension accrues from the confirmed YEL work income, not from the salary drawn.
A life expectancy coefficient is applied to the accrued pension; the value confirmed for 2026 is 0.94643. The coefficient reduces the starting pension more as life expectancy rises.
Retirement age and deferral
The lowest old-age retirement age depends on your year of birth: for those born in 1962-1964, for example, it is 65. For younger cohorts the limit is tied to life expectancy. The retirement age calculator shows your own limit.
If you keep working past your retirement age, the pension gets a deferral increase of 0.4 percent for each deferred month. The partial early old-age pension (OVE) instead lets you draw a pension earlier at a permanently reduced level.
